Meet Brandy
the Fox
Salesforce Marketing Cloud's new mascot.
What do marketers and foxes have in common? A lot, actually.
Salesforce is known for its fun, National Parks-themed brand — especially its bevy of brand and product mascots. With increasing product adoption and a growing community of users, Marketing Cloud leadership approached the team and I to develop and pitch one of our own.
After much study of our marketing buyer pain points and a deep dive into animal traits, I landed on the fox. And thus, Brandy was born. We officially launched her in August of 2021, via digital, social, and direct mail. I also produced the musical jingle for her announcement video, which was fun.
Brandy has since become a fan favorite of marketers and Salesforce fans globally.
INVOLVEMENT:

Provided supporting rationale and pitched a fox as the representative of Marketing Cloud — winning out over competing idea for a rabbit

Created the name, backstory, characteristics, personality, and values of Brandy the Fox character

Wrote and led copy direction for all of Brandy’s launch assets: her announcement blog post, direct mail kit, release video, social media promos and graphics

Composed the official Brandy theme music, featured in her announcement video
