St. John's Creative Partnership with the National Eucharistic Congress
My church was the official Adoration Chapel of the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. Given our proximity to the event, we partnered with the national organization to develop creative promotional assets to drive interest and awareness of the Congress via digital channels and onsite signage.
#mybodygivenforyou
campaign
"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My Body given for you'" - Luke 22:19.
Catholics believe Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist — that during Mass, the bread and wine become the actual Body and Blood of Christ. While they still appear as bread and wine, Catholics believe their substance has transformed into Christ Himself. This isn't symbolic; it's a belief in real, physical presence of Christ, recieving Him as He commanded in John Chapter 6 to strengthen our journey of faith and be His hands and feet in the world.
Today, "my body" usually precedes "my life, my plans, my choice" - our culture emphasizes self-determination. But Christ's message flips this: "My Body, given for you." Through the Eucharist, He offers Himself continually, modeling self-giving love rather than self-preservation.
This campaign draws on the witness of the extraordinary reality of Catholic saints and Eucharistic miracles (documented instances where consecrated bread has reportedly transformed into human tissue) to spark curiosity about the Eucharist and the radical love it represents. Just as the Emmaus disciples recognized Jesus "in the breaking of bread," others might recognize Christ through the saints who broke themselves for others.
Campaign Strategy: Targeted religiously unaffiliated individuals and Indianapolis residents through multi-channel messaging including digital ads, onsite signage, and a custom website featuring educational content on the Eucharist, personal conversion stories, podcast integrations, and user-generated testimony submissions.
